Almost Here

I figured I would stop by and say hi to my "blog" that I neglect so much. Its been a few weeks, and there has been a lot going on. My surgery was a success, from what I was told. Had it on my birthday, but whatever. I've been out of work for a month and a half now. The Dr. Wouldn't release me to go back yet. Therapy has been a pain, and I'm still in pain, so I guess that is the common theme here.

On the other hand, is the wedding coming up. It will have been 2 months to the day of my surgery. Hope my arm holds up.

New Chapter

I've decided, in the wake of preparing the wedding lists, that I would love to reconnect with the rest of my family. I started putting all the pieces together this morning that I know, and started asking for help from the family. I used to spend my summers with my dads family out in western PA. I've lost touch with them when my grandma passed 10 years ago, and haven't seen any of them since my aunt and uncle passed almost 20 years ago. Major parts of my life, figure a childs summer, was spent out there with these people.

Here's to happy endings....hopefully.

February is here

So far, the year has flown by. January, for all intensive purposes, was a blur. I blinked, and it was over. Here is February, which is short enough, but on top of that my surgery has been locked in for the 18th, which also happens to be my birthday, which also happens to be exactly 2 months until the wedding. They say I will need at least 4 weeks before I can start to have full use of my arm, and that I should be fine, read I won't need a sling, for the wedding. Don't know how long I'll be out, don't know much of anything really. All I know is I am having the surgery, they really aren't sure what to expect. All 3 MRIs were of different parts of the arm. I know there is no reason to wonder or worry, that only will make it worse. I've been briefed on all the possibilities that they may encounter while they are in my shoulder.

On a bright note, got to see some family that I don't get to see so much, and there has been great music on the radio all night! Overall, I'd say that's a success for a weekend....even though it was only one day worth so far.

BTW....pitchers and catchers report this week!!! Bring on the Baseball. Can't wait to try to get into the new ballpark this year.

Hope everyone has/had a good weekend.

Too Much....Too Little

Well, the first full work week was interesting to say the least. Monday flew, then the server crashed, and so did the week. The week just dragged after that. Took the dog to vet, and she ended up needing surgery to remove a lump from her back. The arm is hurting more then ever, and they want me to wait atleast 2 months to check it again. On the bright side, the wedding has been scaled down to 240 + guests instead of 260 + . Not that we don't love are friends and family, but we had to draw a line somewhere. A little more then 3 months to go, then all the planning should work out for us.

Next week should be better....
